19 int’l works selected for Fajr theater fest Int’l section

Some 19 theater woks received by the Fajr International Theater Festival have been selected to be staged at the event.

Out of 147 received works from various countries, 19 have been selected to go on the stage at the international section of the event.

The works include stage performance, video installations and interactive environmental performances.

The Fajr International Theater Festival was established in 1983. It occurs annually in Iran, featuring local and international theatrical works and performers.

The festival is held during the Fajr Celebrations, which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.

The 36th edition of the event will be held on January 18-29, 2018.
